When a politician knows that his party is on his side and that his funds can buy him campaigns and seek more sponsors, he will continue to be a career politician till the day he dies. This is evident all throughout the world. Political dynasties are nurtured because of the guarantee of political positions through campaign and funding. The quick and easy solution to the break down of government corruption is through term limitation. Corruption will never go away, but it will sure be limited to a trickle with term limitations.
There are several examples of political career dynasties and corruption. They started great and with great ambition to improve the community. Then corruption filtered in over the years and it became easier to fool the people. They no longer serve the people, they serve for power for themselves and their party.
- Rodrigo Roa Duterte: Started his political career in 1988 as mayor of Davao City and later became president of the Philippines in 2016 and still wants to continue his political career after his term in 2022. A career politician for over 33 years.
- Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr: He was elected to the New Castle County Council in 1970. Now he is the oldest ever U.S.A president. A career politician for over 51 years.
- Paul Biya: He became Prime Minister of Cameroon on June 30, 1975 – 1982, then president from 1982 to present. A career politician for over 46 years.
Give the younger generation a chance to improve the world. Let every politician give his/her all for 12 years. After that, the desire to run for office is terribly tainted with VANITY and GREED.
