GREAT PROJECTS FOR ZAMBOANGA CITY - PROSPERITY
A proposed site for the cross of Christ to be erected at the top of Mount columbato.

Zamboanga City will continue to be the champion against the Bangsamoro. The Bangsamoro lied when it said that the moros were the original inhabitants of Mindanao, Sulu, and Palawan. Moros are the followers of the religion of Islam and are not indigenous people. The moros (muslims) only showed up in 1380. Zamboanga's fort pilar defended against the invasion of the Moros in the 17th century and to this day Zamboanga continues to defend against the attacks of the Bangsamoro. Zamboanga City will continue in its campaign against the Bangsamoro militias (terrorist groups), the MILF and the MNLF.

Help build this 500 ft. cross on top of Mt. Columbato. Extend the effort of former Mayor Cesar C. Climaco when he developed the station of the cross in Abong-Abong. Let this 500 ft. cross be the marker.

Zamboanga City Reservoir.png
Zamboanga City 400 hectare Lake Reservoir - No more flooding incidents. No more lives lost. No more properties destroyed. No more water rationing. No more blackouts.

At the source of the Tumaga river which is only about 5 kilometers from the barangay of Pasonanca, the river can be dammed. It is naturally bordered by hills and mountains from 200 to 400 meters high.

By doing this the City of Zamboanga will never ever suffer from water shortages. There will be enough water supply even for the irrigation of farms. I have lived in Tumaga most of my life and this river never ran dry. The old folks much older than I am, attest to this same fact. The creation of this man-made lake may even be used for recreational purposes and to propagate the local species of fresh water fish for recreational fishing.

There is also a possible second benefit. Hydroelectric power can be generated from this dam.

If there is pro-active planning for this construction, turbines for generators can be planned into the construction of the dam. There will be enough electricity generated from these turbines to provide ample electricity for the entire City of Zamboanga and the Zamboanga peninsula.

Sacol Island International Airport

Sacol Island International Airport
China and Japan are building artificial islands to make Airports. Here we are, blessed with a natural island. The future expansion of Zamboanga City’s International Airport (ZIA) and Cargo Terminal should be established in the city-owned big Island of Sacol. Sacol Island is the most ideal and logical choice for the future expansion of the city’s international airport because of its location and isolation from the limited flatlands of the city proper. Locationg the airport in Sacol, will bring wealth and prosperity to the Zamboangueños who live in Sacol. >> Read More about it
Basilan Strait: Electric power generated from these power generators can power the provinces of Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Zamboanga City and even all of Mindanao and the Visayas islands.

Tidal Stream Generators
The distance between The island of Basilan and Zamboanga City is approximately 24 kilometers. The seabed at the basilan strait is not that deep. Mostly only about 100 to 150 feet deep.

These Tidal or Sea Current generators can be installed at the sea bed of the Basilan strait. With floating (anchored) platforms to mark the location of the generators.

The platforms can also be built big enough to hold a standing windmill, rooftop solar panels, and enclosure for an OTEC system to generate electricity. These renewable source of energy installed in the Basilan strait can supply energy for the entire island of Mindanao, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi. Whenever additional energy is needed new platforms can be installed. Electricity can be even be supplied to islands in the Visayas region. Without energy prosperity can't be achieved. Without prosperity there is no peace.

Zamboanga City is a chartered City (October 12, 1936) and is an independent component of any provinces in the Philippines. Zamboanga City is the 6th most populated city in the Philippines and with a total land mass area of 1,483.38 square kilometers, makes Zamboanga City the 3rd largest city in the Philippines.

Zamboanga City, "urgullo" de Mindanao. Originally known as the City of Flowers. Then the Lobregat's came around and lobbied to change the tag line to "Asia's Latin City". Zamboanga City, The Pride of Mindanao. Zamboanga City is located at the tip of the Zamboanga Peninsula and is one of the major cities in Mindanao. Zamboanga City is NOT a part of Zamboanga del Sur. The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB), Commission on Election (comelec), PIA (Philippine Information Agency), and the office of the president of The Philippines as of today (11/24/2024), continues to incorrectly lists Zamboanga City as part of Zamboanga del Sur.

If you are traveling to Zamboanga City, you can't help but notice the remarkable mountain to the north side of the city. The mountain is called Columbato which translates to "column of stone". The tagalogs erroneously (early 90's) call columbato as "pulong-bato".

When in Zamboanga Visit
Fort Pilar
Light a candle to your departed loved ones. Say a prayer. Ask them and the blessed Virgin Mary to help you in your quests.
Fort Pilar is the symbol of strength against bullies, oppression and Islamic invasion.
Muslims(Moros), Christians and other followers of religions are welcome to live in PEACE and unity. Zamboanga City will fight against the Bangsamoro(Nation of Muslim). We will not allow them to invade and take our city either by force or politics.

Zamboanga seal-1-.gif

Wars of ancient history were about possessions, territory, power, control, family, betrayal, lover's quarrel, politics and sometimes religion.

But we are in the Modern era and supposedly more educated and enlightened .

Think about this. Don't just brush off these questions.

  • Why is RELIGION still involved in WARS? Isn't religion supposed to be about PEACE?
  • Ask yourself; What religion always campaign to have its religious laws be accepted as government laws, always involved in wars and consistently causing WARS, yet insists that it's a religion of peace?

WHY??

There are only two kinds of people who teach tolerance:
  1. The Bullies. They want you to tolerate them so they can continue to maliciously deprive you. Do not believe these bullies teaching tolerance, saying that it’s the path to prevent hatred and prejudice.
  2. The victims who are waiting for the right moment to retaliate. They can’t win yet, so they tolerate.

Medicinal Herbs have a variety of uses including culinary, medicinal, as alternative herbal remedies, or in some cases even spiritual usage. A medicinal herb may be a shrub or other woody plant, whereas a culinary herb is a non-woody plant, typically using the leaves.

Medicinal plants are widely used in non-industrialized societies, mainly because they are readily available and cheaper than modern medicines. The annual global export value of the thousands of types of plants with medicinal properties was estimated to be US$2.2 billion in 2012. In 2017, the potential global market for botanical extracts and medicines was estimated at several hundred billion dollars

Bangsamoro or Moro(Muslim) Islamic crisis in Zamboanga City

Fort Pilar was built in 1635 to protect Zamboanga from moro(muslim) invasion. The moros were pushed back but their insistence on taking and ruling zamboanga has not stopped. Little by little coastal barangays are occupied by muslims and they push away the non-muslim population, making the area a "no-go zone" for non-muslims. They constantly lobby the government. They claim to be oppressed when they are not and claim to be indigenous people when they are not.

Every opportunity they get, they would try to invade the city. Over the years through sheer population increase in barangays, they have eliminated fiestas and replaced them with hari-raya as the barangay's day. From just one barangay (Campo Muslim) majority muslim population to now 21 barangays with majority muslim populated barangays. Only 77 to go.

Every few years the Bangsamoro introduce new plebiscites to try out their population clout and take over the city. In central Mindanao, a once chavacano city, Cotabato city, succumbed to population invasion. Once a non-muslim majority city and not part of the ARMM(Bangsamoro) now (January 2019) the BOL (Bangsamoro Organic Law) was passed. But for the moros, the jewel is Zamboanga City. The moros(muslims) are patient with the take over plan of Zamboanga City. Complacency on the part of the non-muslim leaders and combined with the ignorance of Academia (Ateneo de Zamboanga University) being the leader of the pack in supporting bangsamoro, will be the demise of the city.

History of Zamboanga City, Philippines

The entire Zamboanga peninsula was Zamboanga province. Zamboanga city was the capital of the Zamboanga province. In October 12, 1936 Zamboanga city became a chartered city and was carved out from the province but remained as the capital of the province. In September 17, 1952, via Republic Act No. 711 Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga del Norte was carved out from the province and the Zamboanga province no longer existed.

We're proud to bring to all the Zamboangueños around the world and in our beloved City of Zamboanga, a special gift from a very special woman who helped witness the Presidential Charter creating the City of Zamboanga in 1936 - The former and still beloved Mayor Caling Lobregat, and her city hall crew. Muchas gracias con ustedes todo. Please download this photo freely, and share it with all your fellow Chavacanos, wherever they may be. This memorial photo belongs in all our hearts & homes. This is our story. This is our history. Long live our ancient City of Flowers! (In loving memory...)
  • Founded 13th and 14th Centuries
  • Established June 23, 1635:
    • June 23, 1635 should be symbolically known as “Dia del Chavacano de Zamboanga.” Why you might ask? This was the day that a permanent foothold was laid on Zamboanga by the Spanish government with the construction of the San José Fort, and the subsequent evolution and proliferation of a unique dialect/language based on ancient Creole Spanish that is called Chavacano de Zamboanga.

"Soon, the construction of one of the finest and most important Spanish forts in the East was put into effect. Upon careful choice of locating the fort at the southern-most tip of the peninsula for its military vantage point of the main water routes that converges in what's called today the Basilan Straights, the foundation of the grand fortress of Fuerza de San José was laid by Father Melchor de Vera, a Jesuit priest and engineer of the Spanish army, on June 23, 1635, establishing a permanent Spanish presence here brick-by-brick.2 Zamboanga City, as we know it today, was thus born.[1]"

The principal peoples of the Philippine archipelago were the Negritos, proto-Malays, and Malays. The Negritos are believed to have migrated by land bridges some 30,000 years ago, during the last glacial period. Later migrations were by water and took place over several thousand years in repeated movements before and after the start of the Christian era.2

Not much is known of the early inhabitants of the Mindanao Island peninsula during this time line. Although Western time line puts Philippine history in accordance to their discovery of the islands, this short-sighted view point cannot erase the factual history of the people who discovered and inhabited the islands long before the western world arrived. The barangay method of government of these peoples, in use for over a thousand years, was the biggest dividing line between their nation of small enclaves and the present geographically defined country that is The Philippines. The Republic of Zamboanga

Republic of Zamboanga (Revolutionary Government of Zamboanga): May 18, 1899 - Nov 16, 1899 (de facto) - This was the timeline when the new republic was independent and free of any foreign influence.

May 18, 1899 - Fort Pilar and its Spanish troops, in Southern Philippines, surrendered to the Revolutionary Government of Zamboanga.

May 23, 1899 - The Spaniards evacuate the city of Zamboanga for good, after burning down most of the city's buildings in contempt of the Zamboangueños' revolt against them.

President of Zamboanga Republic

May 18, 1899 to November 16, 1899 [barely six (6)months], Vicente S. Alvarez was chosen by his fellow Zamboangueños to be their first president and popular leader of the revolutionary government established immediately after the former Spanish garrison troops evacuated to Manila. The events that followed afterwards were historically described as a mob mentality, filled with divided partisanship that lent to "jealous self-interest, biter rivalry, rapacity, and bloodshed" from assassinations and cattle-shooting for amusement. The president and his fellow Christian Zamboangueños' actions could not be considered heroic by any means, but was paralleled with that of the Moro Pirates with whom the fort of Real Fuerza de Nuestra Señora del Pilar de Zaragosa was erected to defend against.6

The rivalry between the local revolutionary leadership of President Vicente S. Alvarez and opposition leader Isidoro Midel allowed for the easy subjugation of the city by the American forces when Midel sided with the Americans upon their arrival. As a reward for his help, the new American rulers allowed Isidoro Midel to continue as president of the new Zamboanga Republic for about sixteen (16) months, against the will of the people, after former president Vicente S. Alvarez fled to Mercedes, then later to Basilan, when the Americans arrived and took control of the fort del Pilar and its remaining armament. The saying "divide and conquer" was aptly applied to the new Zamboanga Republic.6 Read more...

The City of Zamboanga is entitled to at least 3 Districts since 2007, yet the controlling POLITICIANS insists on keeping the city at 2 districts only. Answer: If there are three districts there would be more money for the city but less for the representatives because they have to divide it into 3. Example: If the city is getting 10 for 2 districts, each rep gets 5. With 3 districts the city will get more, like 12 but now it has to be divided among 3 so each rep will only get 4. The original 2 reps who used to get 5 do not like it cuz now they are getting less.

Based on the 2007 census, then Congresswoman Maria Isabelle C. Salazar now mayor was "working" towards passing into law for a Third congressional district of Zamboanga City. Three elections later, the city is still at only 2 districts.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod is composed of the City (Municipality) Vice-Mayor as Presiding Officer, regular Sanggunian members (Councilors), the President of the Association of Barangay Captains and the President of the Sangguniang Kabataan.

They shall exercise and perform the legislative powers and duties as provided for under Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991. Shall consider and conduct thorough study all matters brought to their attention and consequently pass resolutions, enact ordinances and to introduce recommendations.

Budget of Municipalities and Cities: The Philippine budget formulation system is not centralized. It has been decentralized since 1991. It is the responsibility of each LGU to submit their budgetary needs for review. Failure to submit is the problem. "IMPERIAL MANILA IS A MYTH!".

Protect the environment

It is sad but true that as of the year 2012 the rivers of the Philippines continue to be the #1 Sewer Systems of the Philippines.

Protect & Save the Rivers. Do not let your sewer drain into the river. Your community can be the first to initiate this project.
Build your riverbank protection with a built-in gutter system. Reforest within Ten Years - Guaranteed!

Let us plant more trees in every barangay in the entire Philippines. It does not make any difference if the barangay is urban, partially urban or rural; we need more trees. Trees will prevent erosion, provide oxygen, prevent green house effect, and even a place of business for the shade tree mechanic.

The Philippines is a tropical country and practically anything will grow. The DENR has the planting trees project that goes on every year. Lots of picture taking for the media. Planting trees one by one is the "human" way of doing it. This individual planting of trees is good if done to "line" the roads and highways with trees or along fences or property divisions, or if you have a plantation.

To reforest the nation of the Philippines we have to plant trees the "mother nature" way. Sow the seeds during the rainy season. Go deep into "bald" forests and plant trees by sowing seeds. If there's not enough volunteers to do this, use the military helicopters to fly over the designated areas and sow the seeds.

Guaranteed within a few years, The Philippines will be lush again. >>Read More

We are using our rivers as our sewer system. If you ask a Filipino, "Are the Filipinos a clean people?" The answer is an automatic, "Yes!". However, the Filipinos are suffering from the same disease or attitude as most people do, and that is the "NIMBY" disease or "NIMBY" attitude. (NIMBY) Not In My Back Yard. So it is OK to dump my garbage and sewer there. Not mine! Someone else will take care of it.

This attitude is killing our rivers. Your great-grandparents, grandparents or parents were once proud to tell the stories of how they enjoyed swimming in the river behind your house or nearby. However, you can't say the same or tell the same stories to your kids or grand kids. Why? Because your generation is killing the river.

We have so much water in the Philippines and yet very little to drink.

Instead of relying too much on Diesel fuel and Coal to generate the majority of Philippine's Electrical energy Supply, we can concentrate more on renewable and sustainable source of energy such as: Hydro Power, Solar Power, and Wind Power and thermal energy conversion. We have too many black outs.
