Zambo City inaugurates PHP14.8-M school building project

ZAMBOANGA CITY(PNA) – The city government on Tuesday inaugurated a PHP14.8 million three-storey 12-classroom in Barangay Labuan, this city.

Mayor Ma. Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, who led the inauguration of the project, has urged teachers and parents to take care of the facility and use it for teaching and learning of the growing student population of the school.

Salazar said education remains one of her administration’s top priorities along with health and security.

For his part, Schools Division Superintendent Pedro Melchor Natividad, who is currently the Department of Education (DepEd) assistant regional director, thanked the city government for constructing the school building in Barangay Labuan.

Labuan is a coastal fishing village located some 36 kilometers west of City Hall.

The school building project was constructed by a private construction firm.
