Five PRO-9 police stations receive new vehicles

ZAMBOANGA CITY, April 27 (PNA) -– The Philippine National Police (PNP) has released five Mahindra-type vehicles to five city police stations under the Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9).

The newly-acquired vehicles were handed over on Wednesday by Chief Supt. Miguel Antonio Jr., PRO-9 director, to the representatives of the beneficiary-police stations.

The newly-acquired vehicles were given to the Dapitan City Police Station; Dipolog City Police Station; Isabela City Police Station; Pagadian City Police Station; and, police Station 8 of the Zamboanga City Police Office.

Antonio said the release of the vehicles would boost the mobility of the five police stations.

The release of the Mahindra jeeps on Wednesday brought the total number of vehicles of similar brand to 72 that were given to the police in the region.

Earlier, the Zamboanga del Sur police Office received 26 vehicles; Zamboanga del Norte Police Office, 25; and, Zamboanga Sibugay Police Office, 16.
