In April of 2010 a missions team from the First United Methodist Church in Fort Branch, Indiana visited Biao, Binalbagan in Negroes Occidental. This trip was two years in planning thanks to the efforts of Rev. John Wendell and Philippines Bishop, Leo A. Soriano of the Davao Episcopal Area. The mission team was warmly welcomed by the Barangay Caption, Felizardo Aguillon. With the gracious support of Bishop Soriano, a pastor, July Yanguas, was assigned to Biao. By December of 2010 the church had grown to over 30 members and looking forward to the opportunity to purchase land and build a church. | In April of 2010 a missions team from the First United Methodist Church in Fort Branch, Indiana visited Biao, Binalbagan in Negroes Occidental. Biao is a rural community in Binalbagan and the people are very friendly. The scenery around the area is just amazing. It is surrounded with rice paddies and sugar cane fields and is relatively close to the ocean. | Biao is a rural community in Binalbagan and the people are very friendly.
