Local authorities and residents recovered Tuesday the cadavers of four persons who drowned after their boat capsized along Magat River in Barangay Bella Luz, San Mateo, Isabela province, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). | |||
Police said that the bodies of Evelyn Alejo, 53; Jay Santos, 9; Joanna Alejo, 12; and Jomer Alejo, 9, were retrieved at the vicinity of Barangay Estrella and Old Centro, San Mateo, Isabela. | |||
NDRRMC reported that the four victims along with five other passengers were on board a ferry boat crossing the Magat River on their way to Barangay Villa Fugu in Alfonso Lista town of Ifugao on December 25 when the vessel capsized due to strong water current. | |||
