BACOLOD CITY -- The fifth most wanted person in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, who is facing multiple warrants of arrest for estafa, has been arrested by joint police operatives in this city.

The arrest of Lusile Adellene Salacut, 25, also known as “Kyla or Pauline Reconalla” on Sunday was confirmed by the Bacolod City Police Office Station 7.

Maj. Sherlock Gabana, chief of Police Station 7, said that Salacut, who was initially placed under protective custody, was picked up by personnel of the Pagadian City Police Station on Tuesday.

He said the suspect has scammed people while selling electronic gadgets and jewelry and seeking investors for her supposed businesses. She has victimized more than 20 persons in Negros Occidental, including Bacolod City.

Some of the complainants showed up in three police stations, including Police Stations 1, 6 and 7, here to identify the suspect.

Gabana said several of them went to Police Station 7 on Monday afternoon.

“They are preparing to file an appropriate action against the suspect,” he added.

The manhunt operation, which was joined by personnel of the Pagadian City Police Station and the Dapitan City Police Station, led to the arrest of Salacut at around 7:10 p.m. on Sunday.

The arrest warrants were issued on July 2, 2015 and Aug. 16, 2016 by Judge Dennis Vicoy of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 20 in Pagadian City; May 29, 2018 by Judge Gregorio de la Peña III of RTC Branch 12 in Zamboanga City; and Nov. 26, 2018 by Judge Joel Vercide of Municipal Trial Court in Cities Branch 1 in Pagadian City.

The total bail amount for her provisional liberty is PHP461,000.
