ROSALES, Pangasinan – The Department of Public Works and Highways-Pangasinan 3rd District Engineering Office, has set up round-the-clock ‘Lakbay Alalay’ teams along national highways to aid motorists and assist travelers joining this year’s All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day exodus.

Engr. Narchito S. Arpilleda said Lakbay Alalay teams will be stationed at Manila North Road KO170+800 (Infront of Quarantine Area) Carmen Section, Rosales Pangasinan, Manila North Road KO 184+800 (Entrance/Exit of TPLEX) Anonas Section, Urdaneta City, Mangaldan-Manaoag-Binalonan Road KO191+700 (Infront of Entrance/Exit of TPLEX), starting 7:00 a.m. on October 31, 2018 until 12:00 noon of November 04, 2018 in anticipation of the large volume of traffic.

He said Pangasinan 3rd Dsitrict engineering Office has prepared all strategic locations within its jurisdiction with the installation of informational and directional signs .

Meanwhile, District Engineer Gerardo T. De Guzman added that all road sections must be well maintained.

He said ,Lakbay Alalay teams are ready with equipment and will be deployed on a round-the-clock basis to provide emergency assistance along major thoroughfares to help travelers, pedestrians, as well as domestic and foreign tourists.

Tow trucks are also available in the event that vehicles are disabled along the way.”

DPWH Pangasinan 3rd Teams will be working with the Land Transportation Office (LTO), Philippine National Police (PNP), local government units (LGUs), and other concerned agencies.
