CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY -- The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) led the opening of the World Food Day (WFD) Celebration with other government agencies and LGUs on October 17, at the DA – RFO 10 compound.

In light of this year’s theme, “Climate is changing. Food and agriculture must too,” DA-RFO 10 organized a “Tiangge (bazaar)” participated by different government and private sectors showcasing quality products that were mostly food based and sold at a very reasonable price for the public to buy.

Assistant Regional Director Engr. Roxanna H. Hojas of DA-RFO 10 led the ribbon cutting signifying the opening of the event. The day-long activity also highlighted the awarding of the regional achievers who have exemplary contribution in the development of the agriculture sector in the country.

DA-RFO 10 and its attached agencies also put up an information booth showcasing agriculture technologies and guides, as well as a booth for DA’s “BROWN4good Campaign” which supports the use of brown rice.
