Yakimix reopens Angeles branch at Marquee Mall

ANGELES CITY -- Yakimix restaurant reopened on Sunday its branch at Marquee Mall here following its temporary closure last August 9.

The city government suspended the buffet restaurant’s operations after more than 40 persons allegedly suffered gastroenteritis and other illnesses after eating in the establishment.

Chito Manlapaz, store manager of Yakimix Marquee Mall, assured that they have complied with all the requirements set by the city government and the Department of Health (DOH).

According to Manlapaz, the restaurant management is conducting daily monitoring of food in order to ensure that the customers’ safety.

“We are back to a bigger, healthier, and improved Yakimix to serve you better. We have set stricter standards to ensure that the food we served is safe without compromising its deliciousness and price which made Yakimix a byword among the Filipino people,” Manlapaz said.

“Iniimbitahan ko po kayong lahat sa reopening ng Yakimix Pampanga dito sa Marquee Mall. Ina-assure po namin sa inyong lahat na dino-double check po namin ang mga food namin,” he added.

The city government discovered at least 17 violations in the restaurant’s operation including the employees’ lack of health certificates and clearances and others. Manlapaz however clarified that these were already addressed.

City officials, members of the press, and other guests attended the establishment’s reopening.
