The original plan of Tour de Zamboanga

The original plan of Tour de Zamboanga was to have a race that would start at the Grand Stand of Zamboanga City and proceed north/west to the border of Limpapa, Zamboanga City and through the municipality of Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte. The race will continue on up on the coastal road of zamboanga del Norte all the way up to Dapitan City. From Dapitan City the race will continue to Pagadian City via the Osmena Hwy. From Pagadian City the race will proceed to Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay then the race will end in the barangay of Divisoria, Zamboanga City.

But this plan can't be a reality yet unless we make this a hybrid race of mountain bike and road bike race. The roads in the southern parts of Zamboanga del Norte is not paved at all. It is is just mostly muddy dirt.

So hopefully by 2017 the roads will be paved and this dream to have a full loop race of the Zamboanga Peninsula will be a reality.
