- MANILA, Philippines — Amid tensions over the Spratlys issue, the People’s Republic of China is yearning for a visit of President Aquino, saying that it is awaiting the homecoming of its “grandson.”
- Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Liu Jianchao told the President last Saturday how “Chinese leaders and people are looking forward to meeting a new Filipino friend.”
- Liu and Aquino attended the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) joint celebration of the 113th Philippine Independence Day, the 150th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal, 36th Anniversary of the Philippines-China Diplomatic Relations, and the 10th Filipino-Chinese Friendship Day last Saturday night at the Fiesta Pavilion of the historic landmark Manila Hotel.

- MANILA, Philippines – Despite the repeated reminders to school officials on non-collection of fees from students, the Department of Education (DepEd) continuously receive complaints from parents on the issue of fee collection.
- Consequently, Education Secretary Armin Luistro has called on parents to go to DepEd's Central Office in Pasig City to file their formal complaint against the concerned school officials.
