MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines now has a new nuncio in the person of Most Rev. Giuseppe Pinto.
Pinto’s appointment by Pope Benedict XVI was officially announced at 12 noon (6 p.m. local time) in Rome Tuesday, according to an article posted on the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) website.
Archbishop Pinto succeeded Archbishop Edward Joseph Adams who has been reassigned to Greece.
