In 2003, the original name PAJA was renamed All-Philippine Judo Federation. The new name was patterned from the All-Japan Judo Federation, but the Japanese judokas actually meant “all the judo federations / club in Japan. This renaming caused some division to its meaning. Members of the Philippine Judo Federation recently elected the new PJF Executive Committee Members of the organization. The election was held during the Judo Congress at the Bayview Hotel last December 21, 2008. It was also in the same event when the members agreed to adopt the new name PHILIPPINE JUDO FEDERATION (PJF) in place of the previous name Philippine Amateur Judo Association (PAJA) | |||
