==Your Story about Cabatangan, Zamboanga City==
==Your Story about Cabatangan, Zamboanga City==
I now reside in Quezon City but i grew live in Cabatangan for about 10 years. My family moved in from Sta. Maria to Cabatangan in 1990. At that time we could still visit the mosque in Lupong which was the former head office of ARMM when Zamboanga City was still part of it. I remember that there used to be a park near the mosque. We used to walk our way there and play the whole afternoon. Houses in our barangay at that time were far from each other. The nearest neighbor we had was a 5 minute walk from our place.

#[[Cabatangan, Zamboanga City, Philippines by Benedict Alibasa]]

I remember during my high school days at the Regional Science High School, which is just located in San Roque, just a 15 minute walk from our house, i used to take my barkada to the falls on the upper part of cabatangan. i think it was called Pozo Grande. We spend the whole afternoon of saturdays bathing on the clear waters of Pozo Grande. There was this time when rain caught us on our way and we arrived at our place all soaked up. Since I left Zamboanga to pursue college in UP, i never had the chance to visit Pozo Grande anymore. There were lots of memories we had in that place. Im looking forward to visit Pozo Grande when i go home this Christmas.

I have lived in Zamboanga City for years & moved to America in 1994.My mom Mary Kuan,& my dad Antonio Aizon bought land from Mr. Machado in 1987 & started construction on our house a year later. I never wanted to leave Cabatangan, I had the greatest friends & a lot of family down the street in Pasonanca. The people of Cabatangan are the most humble,& generous.(real people!) I miss it there so much, my grandfather; Rafael Yap Aizon recently passed away,& I regreted not being able to attend his funeral.
