CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro, Jan. 25 (PIA) -- The provincial office of the National Statistics Office (NSO) is currently conducting the January 2012 Consumer Expectations Survey (CES). | |||
CES aims to provide quick and regular assessment of consumer perceptions and expenditures plans as a tool for evaluating the consumer’s own financial situation, key economic indicators and the economy’s condition over a reference period. | |||
NSO Provincial Officer Efren C. Armonia said that this survey which started Jan. 23 and will end on Feb. 3 is the 30th in a series of surveys since July 2004. This is a joint undertaking of NSO and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as the funding agency. | |||
The CES is a household-based survey on the consumers’ assessment of their financial situation, the economic condition of the country and the overall performance of the government. | |||
It is being administered on a sample basis at the household level drawn through a stratified multi-stage random sampling with a total sample of about 5,000 households. | |||
