CALAPAN CITY | CALAPAN CITY, Dec.10 (PIA) -- This year, seven distinguished young Filipinos made it to the prestigious list of this year’s Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) search including City Mayor Paulino Salvador Leachon. | ||
The TOYM award is widely recognized as the country’s most prestigious recognition for young men and women whose selfless dedication to their field resulted in significant contributions to the country and the people. | |||
Leachon had juggled odd jobs as taxi driver and fastfood chain crew member before he became a lawyer and eventually a public servant. Leachon is also the national vice chairman of the League of Cities of the Philippines. | |||
President Benigno Aquino III awarded the trophies at a ceremony at the Rizal Hall in Malacanang on Wednesday. | |||
