CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro, December 7 (PIA) – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial office has advised consumers to pruchase their ‘Noche buena’ products earlier to avoid hassles and price hike this season. | |||
“Mag-umpisa nang mamili ng ‘noche buena’ products habang malayo pa ang pasko at bagong taon (Start buying ‘noche buena’ products while it is still weeks before Christmas and New Year),” said DTI Provincial Director Oscar M. Agbay in an interview. | |||
He said that it would be better for consumers to buy products earlier to avoid possible price increases due to unstable pricing nowadays. The DTI also recommended consumers to buy “unpopular brands” but are of high quality for practical reasons. | |||
Agbay gave some reminders for the consumers this holiday season. First, consumers must watch for the purchased goods while paying for them. Consumers must also see to it that the expiry dates and the price tags are accurate. Agbay added that consumers should check if the price tag of the purchased product is the same as the price reflected on the receipt. Also, he said that consumers must be alert on how the vendors use their weighing scales as well as the weight of each products they buy. | |||
