Soldier wounded in Pagadian City shooting

A MEMBER of the Army Scout Ranger was wounded after he was shot by unidentified gunman along the national highway in the village of Tiguma, Pagadian City Friday dawn.

Zamboanga del Sur Police Director Sofronio Ecaldre identified the victim as Private First Class Leve Andrade, 34, a resident of the village of Tagolo, Tukuran town.

Andrade is assigned at the Special Operations Command (Socom) based in Jolo, Sulu.

Ecaldre said that Andrade was driving motorcycle on the way home when shot by one of two men riding on another motorcycle that tailed him.

Andrade is now recovering at a hospital. Police investigation is ongoing to identify the perpetrators.
