THE Zamboanga Peninsula Police Regional Office has installed Superintendent Alvin Saguban as the new Pagadian City police chief, replacing Superintendent Benito Recopuerto.

Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Police Office director Senior Superintendent John Gano Guyguyon spearheaded the change of command ceremony Tuesday afternoon.

In a farewell speech, Recopuerto has expressed gratitude to all police personnel for the all-out support given him during his stint as the local police chief.

Recopuerto, who served as Pagadian City’s police chief since August 10, 2017, is reassigned as the new deputy provincial director for administration.

Saguban has urged police officers as well as city residents to rally behind the local police force.

Saguban urged the Pagadian City policemen to respect their uniform by wearing it properly “because this will reflect our attitude, image as law enforcer in order to gain respect and support from the community to whom we are servicing.”

“To the people of Pagadian City, we are requesting your support to rally behind us, in our plans and mission to establish good peace and order. We are here for public service,” he added.

Saguban has served for almost a year as the commander of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion command in Zamboanga City before he was reassigned to Pagadian City.
