MANILA, Philippines - Palawan plays host to the opening leg of the 2017 Petron ROK Karting Super Series at the Palawan International Circuit in Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa.

The Palawan International Circuit will be a test of driving skills, strategies and wits on the twisting, highly technical 1.350-km long, 8-10 meter-wide course.

Competing karters will dispute the crowns in the the ROK Senior Blaze 100, Formula 125 Open Senior Blaze 100, X30 Veterans Blaze 100, X30 Masters Blaze 100, X30 Junior Petron Tri-Action, Formula 125 Open Junior Petron Tri-Action, Formula Cadet Novice Ultron, Formula Cadet Expert Ultron, Mini-ROK Petron XCS and the combined Formula SL Xtra and Ladies class. A three-way showdown looms among Japanese ace Takaharu Nakamori of Apex Racing, Mikey Jordan of Jordan Racing Team and John Dizon of Edgesport Racing in both the ROK Senior Blaze 100 and Formula 125 Open Senior Blaze 100 classes.

The event is sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines and sponsored by Petron, Petron Blaze 100 Euro 5, Petron XCS, Petron Ultron, Petron Xtra, Petron Sprint, Magnolia Pure Water and Yokohama (official tires).
