LGUs in Central Luzon post 80% customer satisfaction rating

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Local government units (LGUs) in Central Luzon recently posted an 80 percent satisfaction rating on the processing of business permit licenses, the Department of Trade and Industry in the region said.

Based on the survey, the average customer satisfaction rating of LGUs' business permit licensing in the region was 8.07 out of a perfect 10 rating.

Among the 130 local governments in the region, Balanga City in Bataan posted the highest customer satisfaction rating with a score of 9.28 while Gapan had a score of 8.82 and Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija earned a score of 8.73. Tarlac City also garnered an 8.07 score.

In Pampanga, Mabalacat City had a score of 8.24 while the City of San Fernando had a score of 7.16 and Angeles City had a 6.24 percent rating.

The survey is part of the Customer Survey Experience 2017 conducted by National Competitiveness Council on LGUs around the country.

The actual national results revealed that 1,678 of the total 1,730 respondents are “satisfied” with their respective local governments in terms of frontline services and overall processing of their business permits while three percent or 52 respondents said they were "dissatisfied."

Among the respondents, 71 percent said that they were able to secure their permits within two days while 29 percent said that it took them more than two days to process their business permits.

The results also showed that 45 percent of the respondents said that there were a maximum of three procedures in the business permit renewal process while 55 percent said that they went to more than three procedures during their transactions with the LGUs.
