Farmer Held for Ordinance Violation; Arrogant Motorist Nabbed for Multiple Violations

A 37-year old farmer was collared during a police operation conducted by Ramon Magsaysay MPS in Purok 3, Barangay Esperanza, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:30 PM on November 28, 2016.

The arrested man was identified as Syryl Briton Basilan, 37, resident of the above-mentioned place. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest for violation of CO 595,S-2015, docketed under Criminal Case Number 119492, dated September 14, 2016, issued by Judge Eduardo Cruz Solangon Jr., Presiding Judge, National Capital Judicial Region, Branch 98, Mandaluyong City with a recommended bail bond of PHP 2,000.00. Suspect is temporarily detained in Ramon Magsaysay MPS lock-up cell awaiting court disposition.


Ipil MPS personnel conducting night watch patrol in Purok Evangeline, Ipil Heights, Ipil at about 9:30 PM on November 28, 2016, spotted a suspicious person onboard a blue Honda XRM motorcycle, without plate number at the aforementioned place. The team stopped and approached the driver for verification of his identity and motorcycle papers. Said person was later identified as Cirilo B Andale, 45, resident of Guinoman, Diplahan, with various traffic violations including no driver’s license, no plate number, improvised muffler, no OR/CR, this prompted the team to issue citation tickets for said violations. Furthermore, when the team explained his traffic violations, Andale arrogantly disobeyed and refused to surrender his motorcycle, then walked away while uttering insulting words. This forced the team take the suspect along with his motorcycle to Ipil MPS for proper disposition.
