A transport group in Davao region is now waiting the approval of the filed petition for a 50 centavo increase in public utility jeepneys after the region was exempted from the lists of regions granted with the said fare increase. | |||
Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region 11 operations officer Edgar Violan bared that the LTFRB XI regional office supported and strongly recommended the petition of the South Eastern Mindanao Diversified Drivers Operators Cooperative (SEMDDOC). | |||
In Mindanao, only Regions 9 and 10 were included in the provisional fare increase while Regions 11, 12, ARMM and 13 still have to file a separate petition to be granted with an increase. | |||
SEMDDOC chair Manny Duran explained that PUJ drivers in Davao Region suffer the same problems with those in Luzon and Visayas. | |||
