CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro, Jan.18 (PIA) -- A total of 150 teachers from different public schools of Oriental province attended a three-day training workshop on basic skills in community organizing. | |||
The Department of Education (DepEd) funded the workshop entitled “Programang Pang-edukasyon sa Kalibliban (PPSKA).” | |||
The teachers were oriented to various aspects of community organizing to become change agents under the PPSKa program of the provincial government. | |||
Gov. Alfonso V. Umali, Jr. encouraged the teachers to continue their partnership with the provincial government in the implementation of projects in the different municipalities of the province. | |||
It will be recalled that under the program, which started in 2002, there are 371 former PPSKa teachers given permanent positions by DepEd. (DOS/Louie T. Cueto/PIA-4B/Or.Mindoro) | |||
