-CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro, Dec. 26 (PIA) – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DWSD) has launched its Electronic Procurement Transaction Monitoring System (ePTMS) which will let the public monitor the status of procurements by the department through the Internet.
+CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro, Dec. 28 (PIA) -- About 1,000 Calapeños, including city officials and employees, received free anti-flu vaccine this month from the city health and sanitation department (CHSD).
-The ePTMS was developed to enhance transparency in the procurement system as interested individuals can now monitor the various phases online, from pre-procurement to payment.
+The vaccination program aimed to help Calapeños become safe from flu which is rampant this month due to the cold weather condition, according to City Health Officer Basilisa M. Llanto.
-Initiated by the General Administrative Services, the concept was formulated by the department’s Bids and Awards Committee (BIC) while the system design and development was developed by the Management Information Systems Service (MISS).
+Llanto said that anti-flu vaccine costs about P1, 500 when bought from drugstores and hospitals. The city government thus wanted Calapeños, especially the marginalized folks, to avail of the free vaccine, she added.
