Independence Day celebration last June 12, 2001.  This was taken at Rizal Park in front of Zamboanga City Hall during the flag raising ceremony. In the photo are Mayor Maria Clara L. Lobregat (right, raising flag) and Congressman Celso L. Lobregat (left, guiding flag).  The building in the background is the venerable City Hall, built in the early 1900s by the U.S. colonial government in their best Baroque-style effort of that time.  This photo was submitted by our good friend Mary June Bugante.
