VICTORIAS CITY – In a progressive step towards embracing the digital age, Victorias City, located in Negros Occidental, gifted electronic devices such as tablets, laptops, and Smart TVs to public educators and students this Thursday.

Coinciding with World Teachers’ Day, Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez orchestrated the handover of 3,555 tablets dedicated to students, 924 laptops intended for educators, and 713 Smart TVs for communal educational use. This initiative took place at the Victorias City Sports and Amusement Center during the notable Education Summit.

Mayor Benitez emphasized the city’s stride towards technological integration in educational settings, noting the accelerated pace of contemporary knowledge exchange. “Our vision is of a city that’s globally connected, and that begins with establishing a world-class educational environment. With digital tools at our fingertips, the possibilities for growth and expansive learning are boundless,” he remarked.

Furthermore, Benitez reassured that the city administration is committed to continuously back the Schools Division Office of Victorias City. This pledge ensures the ongoing enhancement of comprehensive and high-quality education.

This significant Education Summit in northern Negros also saw the presence of Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, the head of the Senate Committee on Basic Education, Arts and Culture; and Negros Occidental Third District Representative, Jose Francisco Benitez.

In line with World Teachers’ Day, Victorias City also took the moment to honor and express gratitude to educators. Their unwavering dedication and zeal have made the city a nurturing ground for ambitions and aspirations. “Today, we commend these stalwarts of education, shaping our future generation into informed, compassionate, and responsible members of society,” the official statement conveyed.
