GENERAL SANTOS CITY, Philippines – The head of the village of Talos in Malungon, Sarangani province, was wounded in an attack by a lone gunman Tuesday evening, police said Wednesday. | |||
Joey Espinosa, 39, was on his way home from the village center around 10 p.m. when attacked, according to Chief Inspector Alvin Martin, Malungon police chief. | |||
“He sustained two bullet wounds and was immediately rushed to a hospital in General Santos,” Martin said. | |||
He said police investigators were still trying to find out what type of weapon the gunman used as well as the assailant’s identity and motive. | |||
