The National Private School Athletic Association (PRISAA) Championship will be held in Zamboanga City next year (2007), bringing the games back to Western Mindanao after four years. This will be the third time that Zamboanga City will host the National Games of Private Schools. ZC hosted the games in 1993 and in 2004.

There will be approximately 5,000 athletes, coaches and officials from all over the Philippines representing 17 regions that are expected to attend this annual sports event.

Let us honor the sports heroes of Zamboanga City.  The pages attached to the sports button will be about the great athletes of Zamboanga City's past and present.  With the onset of the Olympics 2000 in Australia, we would like you to submit a list of local athletes who have made an impact for the City's Sports History and its local citizenry.  Help us develop this web site.  Please submit your Sports Heroes entries to: Sports@Zamboanga.com
