Here is a guy who sleeps with his bike in a tent, embraces his bike and makes his girlfriend sleep outside. He even has a bar lock on his bike. Most cyclers are do-it-yourself bike mechanics. They repair their own bikes. This is excellent if you have all the mechanical tools needed to do the bicycle repair. Most cyclers don't. Find yourself a good bike mechanic, or a good neighborhood bicycle shop with reputable bike mechanics to do all your bike repairs. You can try your hands at the following: wheel straightening, wheel building, flat tire repair, painting, front derailleur and rear derailleur adjustment and bicycle brake maintenance, but when you get in trouble, call one of the bike shops listed in the links above.

A mountain bike or mountain bicycle (abbreviated MTB or ATB (all terrain bicycle)) is a bicycle designed for off-road cycling, including jumps, and traversing of rocks and washouts, and steep declines, either on dirt trails, logging roads, or other unpaved environments.
