Information

I can't believe that I found this site accidentally. It's just one of those days when one reminisces about their past life especially when one considers it to be a memorable childhood experience. Above all I am very surprised to see the story written by my sister. I will definitely give her a ring right after writing this article.

I left Zamboanga in 1993 when I decided to do my first BA in Manila. Then I left Manila to study my second BA in London, where I now live and work.

I do miss my little town Tugbungan. It is a place where me and my family grew up in and went to the same school together, Tugbungan Elemntary School. The thing is I always carry the same picture in my mind on how it was like the very moment I left the town. Only to upset myself and felt depressed when once I went back and all I saw was a completely changed town. Bad that was. It was so over crowded, extremely noisy created by the tricyles' mufflers, very polluted and dirty and was just so unpleasant to be in. To think that this little town that I once spent my childhood in is small enough to be controlled in all those aspects. It was once such a beautiful small town where I can always tell nice stories about. Despite the fact that during rainy season the river was easily over flowed by a vicious strong water and within an hour each house (especially in the area where our house was, or still is ) is surrounded by at least a meter deep of water. But that was part of the fun as me and my family and some friends would take advantage of the situation by creating a small boat and start fishing.

But the time I last visited Tugbungan, the entire town was scattered with rubbish. No one had a sense of hygiene at all. It would be nice if one starts to think about making Tugbungan as a pleasant place to visit. And perhaps support the image of the city itself as the 'City of Flowers'. Whoever is the Barangay Captain at this moment would be very helpful if he/she starts thinking about cleaning up the entire town. I wouldn't mind to visit Tugbungan again and perhaps drop by the school that all of us in the family spent our elementary life in. I do miss it. I wish this site would show some fotos of the town's recent appearance.
